Happy New Year and stuff!

Welcome back to work folks. Today (wednesday) is the first day back to work but due to a dumping of snow, we are shut down today, HOWEVER, since the company would have lost money, we make salary people come in. If they die, well at least we can take them off pay roll. we had a record 9 out of 11 days off with holidays and weekends we had 5 days off and then worked 2 for inventory and then another 4 days off. it was quite nice. it was also tricky. i am not used to being home for that much time. it sounds horrible to say but those stinking kids never go anywhere. i give credit to my wife and any mother that stays at home. wow. thats worth a lot more than my little job. i love those kids but everyday i go to work i get a vacation from them. speaking of those kids, last night the Bulldog's of Georgia (#5) went to battle for the last time this season against the only undefeated team in the nation, the Warriors of Hawai'i (#10). we rocked them in the Sugar Bowl. 41-10. wow. we made them look bad. BAD! it was fun for us, but i will say that even down by that much Hawai'i never looked to give up. as i was getting ready to turn in early in the forth quarter (around midnight) i heard Marley start messing around in her crib. sure enough, she is WIDE awake. then Layla starts waking. Needless to say that at 2:44 i went into bed with Layla and Elizabeth and Marley were out in the family room eventually to turn in in our bed. BLASTED KIDS! good thing they are cute. i am home for 11 days, nothing, the night before i have to go to work, TA DA!!! so i made into work and ended up running the plow truck for about an hour and change. i have never done that. it was a blast. we have one of those cool moving V blades on our 2500HD. it really was fun. i don't thinkt hat i have ever had a REAL reason to use 4 Low but today, i did. proud moment. tearing up as we speak.

i did make a couple treks out this past week. Layla and i went out to South Bend. for Christmas i got the DVD Ray. as i opened it, there was no disc. so we went to Barnes and Noble and swapped that, i ordered 2 books, Gretsch Drums and Guide to Vintage drums. calm down people, you will have to get in line to read these. i will let you know when i am done with them. so when we were done there we went cymbal shopping. we went to Guitar Center. let me tell you, GUITAR center is well named. it is NOT CYMBAL center. piss poor showing for cymbals. i got no research done. i will have to go to woodwind and wait for a couple hours for them to bring me something wrong. oh well. one evening getting ready for my new cymbal, i tore down everything i had a set up an all new kit. 10 cymbals plus room for my new ride, 3 snares, 3 toms, 1 kick. last night Marley and i were playing working on our Bossa Nova. it was about all i could do one handed while holding her. when i was a rocker i wanted the cymbals as high as i could get them. now as a more mature (barf) drummer i like them low so it is like 2 tiers of cymbals. the spalshes are all above the crashes. very exciting i know. i will take a pic calm down. i think that is all that i have for this moment. i will speak more later. Enjoy your new years, B.
